Kelmin Products, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of chafing dish fuel with a wick. WIK, our brand name, uses diethylene glycol for fuel. Our chafing fuel is used for chafing dishes, buffet heaters, cookers, camping, emergency heat, cooking and warming. Our wicked product has significant performance and safety advantages over jellied alcohol products like Sterno

Our features include:

  • Adjustable flame

Reshaping the wick changes the flame intensity.

  • Consistent Heat

The wick doesn’t recede into the container.

  • Reusable

Replace the cap for the next use.

  • Cost savings

Costs less per burn hour than jellied alcohol products.

  • Burn times

Available in various burn times, 4 and 6 hour being the most popular.

  • Unobtrusive label

Intentionally small to minimize visual distraction.

Easy To Use

Simply remove the screw cap, light and allow approximately 5 seconds for full flame. Save the cap. We suggest you place the cap under the can for later re-capping and storage or to raise the flame closer to the object you are heating. We recommend the factory wick setting for most applications. For higher heat requirements you may spread or raise the wick. To extinguish Wik, use the cap as a snuffer or blow out the flame. Tighten the cap for storage and later reuse. While Wik is safer fuel than jellied alcohol, it’s still a fuel and should always be used with good judgment and caution.

Safe

There is no possible flashback when you light Wik. Wik is combustible, not flammable as jellied alcohol is. The contents are sealed in the container and are virtually spillproof – the accidental spilling of fuel, even while burning, will not set fire to surroundings. When in use, the container never gets so hot that it will scorch tablecloths or become too hot to handle. Wik’s fuel is water soluble and the flame can be extinguished with water. Wik has no shipping or storage restrictions. Long burn times means no changing cans during the banquet when guests are present.
